A Worthwhile Read for anyone already considering it.

First off, I would recommend this book to anyone. Second of all, you should understand what this book really entails. The book is by Nick Offerman. While he is mostly known for his Ron Swanson persona of Parks and Recreation Fame, this book is about Nick Offerman’s life experiences as well as some values, suggestions, and other ideas that he considers meaningful. These are however, presented in the characteristic manner of Ron Swanson, namely excessive use of dry humor and crude metaphors. There is however a substantial amount of colorful language as well. This generally is used to humorous advantage and rarely exhibits any combative spirit. The stories he tells are the things great memoirs are made of, but somehow more digestible due to the prevalent use of humor. There are also several illustrations included as well. The audiobook is also amazing as it read by Nick Offerman and his voice obviously encapsulates the writing so well. His delivery is perfect and rarely misses a beat. It also contains Nick singing performing a song he wrote for his wife. So I would really recommend either version. If you’re a Ron Swanson fan, this is a no-brainer. If you’re unfamiliar with Nick Offerman’s work, then you should still strongly consider purchasing this book as it is a genuine powerhouse in its own right. Since you have already take the time and effort to look this book up and read an online review of it, there is no question in my mind that you will enjoy it. Also buy it online, it’s a lot cheaper.

    Love it

Just a all around great book to read. Being a midwest girl from a Podunk town it just made me smile and laugh. The book reminded me a lot of my father.

I don't know Nick Offerman, nor he I, but I think he managed to

I don't know Nick Offerman, nor he I, but I think he managed to write a decent enough book in spite of being a celebrity because, as we all know, any celebrity can get a book published, Nick's book is a sincere four star effort to give value and entertainment. The words make sense and can, at times, be funny as heck.

So thank you, Nick. Job well done.

    Fantastic

Very good, overall humorous and he does a really good job about keeping the story interesting. People expect Parks and Recreation but that's not what the book is about, it's about his life and it is really well done. Nick Offerman is really funny and I highly recommend.

    Worth Reading

Nick Offerman did a great job on this book He put his feelings and philosophy of life right out there. Not as "Ron Swanson" as some might expect but there are some similarities. I enjoyed the entire book, His early life and acting journey were especially interesting.

    Thoroughly Enjoyable

Nick Offerman is an inspiring human being and this book gives you a unique glimpse into his life and the life of an aspiring actor. If you like strong opinions and stories that make you laugh this book is for you. It made me want to get out and do something(like build a canoe)or even just mow the yard. I was lucky enough to get a signed copy of the book through Barnes and Noble and look forward to reading anything else he puts out.

    Great Style; Lousy Autograph

I enjoy Mr. Offerman's humor very much. I appreciate the fact that he signed the book - was hoping for something witty, but all I got was a very lame flower. Oh well. Not a keeper in this case!
