Magnificent! Panacea is an Enthralling Book
This author reminds me of the dually talented writer, David Feintuch. William Allan Rieser¿s talent shines in both science fiction and fantasy. He has the ability to make the unbelievable...believable. It¿s easy to relate to his heroes because they aren¿t portrayed as bigger than life, but as ordinary people blessed with intelligence. Roger Keough and his live-in friend Lionel Perkins stumble on a healing substance while pursuing Roger¿s lifelong quest to discover the secret of anti-gravity. The scope of their discovery leads them on an honorable quest to aid their human brethren. Their noble goals are thwarted by the very people they seek to help. The miracle substance itself proves to have some unanticipated pitfalls that will force Roger and Lionel to look deep into themselves to make vital decisions about their own futures. Mr. Rieser does a great job of blending the technical and scientific aspects into his writing and kepping it understandable for the average reader. Panacea is a riveting page-turner. It would make an excellent movie. I strongly recommend this book to both YA and adult readers.
