Pandora (New Tales of the Vampires)
A breathtaking piece of work, a real book showing Pandora as a witty and strong young woman turned vampire in the Roman Ages

Bravo!
Pandora story was very intresting, she lived as a modern woman in ancient times.

realism?
The writing style remained beautiful, as all of her titles contain. But her some of her characters lacked a sense of being real. For instance, the way some of the characters talked just made me think:'is everyone suppose to be this bright?'IDk.It is a great book and you'll learn to love and hate the main character which is great.I highly recommend it.

A Good Read
Anne Rice does it yet again. Everything she writes is so vibrant and lush and this book is not exception. One of the best from her by far.

Historical Fantasy
This book was amazing. It was the first book I read by Rice. She takes you through history and she describes it so beautifully that I wish I was there. I love this book!

brilliant! simply brilliant!
I am always enthralled by the way Rice describe her characters and I was curious about the relationship between Pandora and Marius...loved it... I couldn¿t put it down once I started...just a side note though it was a bit of a short read... :(

Memorable Read
The first and only novel I've read by Ms. Anne Rice, it was enthralling. Great romance/historical-fiction novel.

Pandora's Box has been opened
I've read this book several times and everytime, I find something new I love about it! I love Anne Rice for her consistency throughout the entire Vampire Chronicles. Pandora is a real wonderful reach into the mind of a 'Child of the Millenia'.

Outstanding! One of her best works!
Wow! Pandora is a very good book. I loved all the history that Anne Rice gave about the Roman Empire. Her relationship with Marius was very interesting also. I can't wait until I get to Blood & Gold. It's about Marius.

A Fantastic Read!
This lovely vampire tale of Pandora is very sensually, beautifully & intellectually well written. I enjoyed it a lot! From beginning to the end. I also adored the unique and loving relationship she had with Marius. Definitely one of Anne Rice's best. So I give this book 10 stars. *

Still my Favorite
This was the first book of Anne Rice that I have read... all the way back in 6th grade and it is still my favorite. I am now an avid reader of her work but I find that the story of Panadora is the most heart-wrenching and intrigueing. She spins a tale that includes the deities of ancient Egypt, and the secret world of cults. This book gives you a closer and more compassionate look at Marius and grants him a new depth in character. Like I said it is still my favorite, though I also recommend Vitorio.

A must read
This was the very first book by Anne Rice that I had read. Now I wish I would have heard of her sooner so I could have read all the books in order. If you like vampire novels, these will knock your socks off.

I loved this book! I had read it three times, and every time I had finished it, I was dissappointed that it was over so quickly. The story of Pandora is intellectually sensual. Ann Rice finally tells the tale of an independent, and strong willed woman who is desperate to find the only man she had truly loved, but fortunately she finds more than what she is looking for, and she discovers the forbidden secret that Marius must carry. Finally Rice gives us an indepth look of my most favorite vampire couple in her Chronicles.
