Megan Blair always heard the voices whisper inside her head that she assumed were her friends although some of the things they told her frightened her. However, they failed to save her mom Sarah from a killer so when she became orphaned following the death of her beloved mother she shut down the voices.================= A dozen years later, someone tries to kill Megan. Although she is not sure why, she believes the culprit killed her mother, who shared the rare skill of the voices with her, but hid the truth that they are both descendants of Pandora from her daughter. This unknown adversary wants Megan and all her blood relatives dead. If murdering her extended family is needed so be it as collateral damage occurs in war. Megan must reactivate the voices if she is to protect her family and herself from a brilliant maniac even if she succeeds in tapping into the voices she muted, Megan knows the probability of failure against her anonymous enemy remains slim.================== Iris Johansen will be on top of the bestsellers lists again with this exciting paranormal thriller that grips the audience from the moment Sarah tells her beloved Megan to run just before dying and never slows down until the final confrontation. The story line is fast-paced and loaded with action although a romantic subplot seems unnecessary. Fans will appreciate Megan as her ┬┐normal┬┐ life as a doctor is destroyed by a maniac whose one reason for living is killing all the potential Pandoras.----= Harriet Klausner

The e-book is hard to read due to the misspellings, words that are hyphenated that shouldn't be and typos on every page (yes - every page). Additionally it's missing punctuation or has alpha characters in place of punctuation. I can't get through this book since it appears to have been typed up by a 5 year old. Its very distracting. Publisher - please fix your typos and provide an update to download.

    Well, I liked it!!

After reading through all the other reviews, I decided to add my 'two cents' - which is probably all my opinion is worth! I enjoyed the story and I had no trouble understanding what the paranormal aspects of Megan's character were all about. I also liked the other major characters, especially, Renata and Harley, and am looking forward to reading more about them in the future. I'll continue to buy each new Iris Johansen book when it hits the bookstands - in paperback, of course. Hardbacks are too cumbersome to lug around with me every place I go - not to mention the additional cost!!

Pandora's Daughter by talented writer Iris Johansan, is a thrilling story throughout. I loved the strong characters and the exciting plot. I think you will enjoy this book as much as I did.

    It's a Johannsen -- that's says it all!!!!

I have just about all of Iris' books and they are all keepers. I couldn't wait for this book to come out and I was NOT disappointed at all. I like the fact that a lot of her books have past characters come to life. I love the Eve Duncan series. This book was a little different in concept from her usual, but every writer needs to branch out and try something new. Both Iris and Kay Hooper are friends, and if you like Kay with her 'Bishop Series', you've got to love Iris. I'm not going to say more than this -- if you love Iris, you will love this book!!
