I have read a lot of this author's work and do love her dominant
I have read a lot of this author's work and do love her dominant male heroes and the danger in most of her plots. However, as in many romance books, the heroines are politically correct feminists and that drives me nuts! Why would I love a book with a dominant hero but a heroine who doesn't like that and fights against them. I would much rather this author concentrate on the danger in the plot, or especially when the female gets hurt and the male cares for her. Leah Brooke glosses over the heroines recovery and has her just think about how her men cared for her. I hate that!! In this one, she gets shot in the shoulder and the next day goes to work like nothing is wrong. She keeps getting grabbed by other characters on her shoulders and there is no injury the next day. Then it's like the author remembered and it's back, but of course she's fine. I have a very hard time finding books where the heroine is not extremely independent and doesn't care for her dominant hero. I don't know why readers are always praising the female who won't give in to the male, they want them to be strong and basically, annoying. I don't even have any friends who would not melt for these men. They would be throwing their independence to the streets in a heartbeat! I mean, the menage thing is fantasy, the whole genre is erotic fantasy, why does the heroine have to meet some politically correct ideal? I mean how many feminists are really reading romance books like these! Please leah, I love your writing, but please give me an endearing heroine who isn't so difficult, and please let her actually recover from her injury!! I love the scenes where hero(es) take care of their wounded woman!! And thank you for some fun but naughty books, I've got to stop reading these!!
