There Is Hope!
Mr. Salatin offers not just hope, but a concrete plan for those of us who care to work hard and benefit from our labor. He is a practical thinker who only recommends what he finds works for him -- and works well. I found this book to be well written and easy to follow. I raised 300 birds this year with a very low mortality -- and it was FUN!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Excellent Reference for raising chickens for meat
Joel Salatin is well known in the poultry world for detailed records on what does and does not work when raising cornish-cross chickens for meat. Those records led to this book that has saved me a lot of potential problems as I raised over 400 chickens last summer. I had excellent results and referred to his book many times. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to raise healthy, anti-biotic free chickens. These taste so much better than store-bought chicken, you'll never want to by butcherd chicken again. Before this summer, I had never raised chickens, so I found this book invaluable. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
