boring, never gets to the point

I bought this book in the hopes of getting help deciding on what kind of career fits me best. However, when reading this book it became pretty clear after a couple of pages that the author emphasized more on some kind of cheering like 'you can do it, just try harder' kind of. It is not helpful when you want some insight in what kind of career fits your personality, I mean we all agree on that we need to 'try harder' -that is why we buy books on this career-help theme, but the author just confirms this fact, he doesn't develop it. It just feels like reading bunch of facts we are already aware of and never getting to anything insightful. The first 50 pages are acctually full of just this facts allready known, repeated over and over again, it feels like the author never gets to the point! There is no point... The book actually made me a bit annoyed cause it makes you feel like a dummie and the same stuff is repeaded over and over again until you just wanna throw the book in the trash! That is where it belongs, by the way, in the trash...

    Nothing new

I received the book when I signed up for Career Counseling through Nick Lore's company. I was excited and jazzed but after a few months it all dissipated. The book has some interesting exercises. I received some personal insights but the entire process did not lead me anywhere new. It was a huge disappointment as I put a lot of energy and money into it. The counselor assigned to me did not seem particularly dedicated or innovative. I do not know what the answer is but at least for me this book and the program were not helpful.
