Paul and Me isnt a memoir

Paul and me isnt a memoir in the true sense. Ita a romp with two guys who have been friends and cohorts over the last fifty odd years. If youve ever had a friend like these two then you know the meaning of bonding and fun. The book is simply an excuse to tell the story that transcends movies, friendship, salad dressing, charity and good times. It doesnt have a beginning as much as it lets you evesdrop on two old friends reminiscing about all the fun life let them have. Hotchner's description of Paul Newman is hardly the point. Its a description of friendship, tom foolery, antics and the love two men have for each other. I read it in one night. But you may want to take longer because its so much fun. You want it go on and on

    What an inspiring man

I just read the biography on Paul Newman and although I knew his proceeds went to charity, I never realized how many lives his generosity truely touched.

He was a humble man who wanted no acknowledgements for his good deeds. Nor did he want to be remembered for his acting, since that was a job to him.

I would reccomend this book to anyone who needs a boost in todays crazy world .. to know that there are still good people out there.

Great reading about a true and lasting friendship!

This book was so enjoyable. Getting to know the elusive Paul Newman was fun, but reading about the friendship between A.E. Hotchner and Paul Newman was just great! They had fun, arguments, business dealings, and true love for each other. I was fascinated by how the Newman's Own products came about, and found a deep respect for the integrity of Mr. Newman. It isn't a "tell-all" book, and I'm so glad it isn't. It's just plain, old-fashioned great reading!
