Perfect for Newlyweds

I love this cookbook. I was used to cooking for myself and didn't have any recipes besides triscuits and cheese. I've made so many of these dishes with no problems. The Valentine's Day Beef Tenderloin is so easy and tastes so good! Oh my gosh, the shrimp salad is perfect, asparagus in filo dough is elegant, please don't get me going. Get this book!

Another great cookbook!

Paula has done it again and put together a great cookbook. Like her last one, this is organized by celebration menus. However, each celebration chapter has a small box on its title page that lists all menu items. All new dishes to prepare! Dishes generally serve large crowds with recipes varying in serving size between 6 - 12. I think the recipes would be easy enough to scale down for smaller gatherings. The only thing that I miss are the lengthy esssay introductions to each menu that were present in her last cookbook. Also, Paula's 'pearls of wisdom' that appear sporadically throughout the book are very cheesy. Her pearls of wisdom seemed very silly like the phrases that are on the foil lids of daisy sour cream.
