Thought Provoking
Great story of a family, torn about by the untimely death of their young son and what happens after, including some very thought provoking ideas on cloning! A book that makes you think, both of your faith as well as issues out in the world, and where to go to when it all comes crashing down. Not a real tear-jerker for me, but then, I don't need hankies all the time!

A touching, somewhat sad story.
Angela Hunt weaves a touching, somewhat sad, story of a mother determined to reclaim her dead son by means of cloning. This story made me cry, but also ended on an upbeat note. I heartily recommend this book for people who like to think on issues that are always under debate.

Extraordinary Piece of Literature
Over my short life, I have had the privelege of reading so many accomplished authors' literary works. But, of late, The Pearl by Angela Hunt is by far the best. Its modern-day setting combined with sound Christian values makes it an engaging read. The depth of the characters and the discussion of cloning in the book make it an interesting and life-changing read. I could hardly put this masterpiece down. Do yourself a wonderous favor, buy this book and read it. You will not be disappointed. Believe me, it will open your eyes as no other book but the Bible will.
