    Creative Concept, Okay Execution

This board book cleverly plays peek-a-boo with cutouts showing part of the picture on the next page, the picture always rhyming with the boo of "peek-a-boo" game. Most of the pictures make a noise that is the rhyme (who, moo, boo, choo-choo) the last two don't (zoo, you). My 18mo son really likes the "choo-choo" part.

The reason that I only gave this 2 stars:
    - I really like the owl in the leaves on the cover, but I'm less keen on most of the other drawings. I really don't like the green ghost.
    - The words are really limited to "Peek-a-" and then the answer. That's it. I would have liked something on the line of "Peek-a-Who! The owl says Who-Who. Owls are birds that are awake at night." or something. I would have liked at least 2-3 sentences (including Peek-a..." per picture.
    - So, it's okay, but I was really excited about the concept and disappointed with the execution.
