I was so excited by the twist to vampirism this book had at the beginning. It had the potention to be a really amazing series. However, instead of developing into an intricate conspiracy theory, it went dumb. Just like that, the great story and educational insights into parasites were wasted. Disappointed.

    *YAWN*

This book was really boring to me. the only parts i liked in the book was about the mini chapters about parasites. i love SCOTT. Especially Midnighters. but sweetheart you could have done alot better. the book would just drag on about him chasing after the disease and about that god awful girl Lacy. Nothing really interesting happens. However the Parasite parts were awesome. I learned plenty of things about parasites in one day. I love the whole wired creepy type stuff. Good job. :)

    What!

Westerfeld usually has kick butt ideas for the stories he writes, but this book was really lame. The vampire story probably isn't going to be going anywhere anytime soon [authors will continue to write about it as long as the world turns] and yeah, he put a different spin on an old tale, but really - parasites? The actual STORY parts caught my interest, but I really don't want to read about bacteria floating around in my brain. That's just disgusting.
