Started off Great...then fell a little for me!

Just finished the book last night. Loved the beginning! It has been four years since the Darcy's were married and they are happily living with their two year old son Little Master Richard at Pemberley. Georgina is still at home and unmarried. Things get off to a quick start and I won't give away the story line but it was well spun and came all together in the end. The characters were so true to what I would have imagined them in the beginning. Elizabeth is a dynanmic force leading the House of Pemberley and it's fun to see. However there is little affection between the Darcy's...I mean they cared deeply for each other but they are so preoccupied with the story line you see little to no intimate family - husband and wife interaction. The couple steals moments to discuss with is going on in and around the house then they are off again! Elizabeth is not the best mother in the world, which truly shocked me...always thought she would be a supurb mum! I would recommend the book...It kept me reading and I did enjoy this authors take. The best part was she wrote the book before all the movies and it was NOT written as a sequal to BBC's Pride and Prejudice or the Hollywood version of 2007. Good for your library if you are a Jane Austen or Bronte fan you will love the Book!
