Unexpected good read

This book was a great read, hard to put down once I started. It took a few pages to become accustomed to the writing style, that is all.

Thought I would never get through...

The book was about 500 ages too long. I fear the author fell so much in love with his characters and his imagined, implausible, future Earth, that as a reader I began to find them arrogant and annoying. The sex scene which included the childrens' participation is not for the faint-hearted. Sorry, I simply did not like it.

    Awful!!

I have never run across a fiction novel that I couldn't finish, until this book. The book is about as exciting as watching paint dry. The book is like a boring personal diary that no one else would find interesting except the author. I struggled to get half way through the book and that was with a lot of skimming. I finally decided to DELETE the book from my Nook without going further. Through out what I struggled to read, I kept wondering what was the point of the book. After a while, I didn't even want to know.
