A "perfect" read for any baseball fan

The only perfect game in the World Series, particulary a game between classic rivals -- the New York Yankees and the Brooklyn Dodgers -- is the "perfect" subject for any baseball fan. This book combines the drama of the game with biographies of the 19 players who paricipated in this historic event. There is much to learn from, and be amused by, the backgrounds of Jackie Robinson, Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle, Pee Wee Reese and many other Hall of Famers.

A marvelous account of Don Larsen's perfect game. I especially enjoyed the comments of both the Dodger and Yankee players as the innings progressed. In 1956 I was only 7 years old, but having read this book made me feel like I was there sitting in the first row. A very interesting and enjoyable read.

    OUTSTANDING!

This is just a great, great book, covering not only Larsen's pefect game, but insight as to the main players who were involved in it. I've read plenty of historical baseball books, many involving the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Yankees of that era. Still, Paper offers new details and perspective not previously known to this reader. I loved this book from beginning to end! Yankee, Dodger, baseball, sports, history.....whatever type of fan you might be, give this one a read!
