The Perfect Summer
This is a perfect summer book! It is a completely fascinating look at moments in time in people's lives. You see the young Churchill, and many other people from the summer of 1911. Juliet Nicholson's writing is engaging, captivating, and you really see and feel the era of that particular summer. It is like little stories within stories -- it moves along with different people and what they were doing. It is also historical and well-researched. One haunting aspect -- people had no idea what was coming next. I enjoyed this book a great deal!
