Wonderful, Just Wonderful (But Heartbreaking)
Peter Lawford, John F. Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, Liz Taylor, Judy Garland, Dean Martin, Lana Turner, Ava Gardner -- besides being some of the best looking, most talented and most charming people in the history of the world almost every single one of them ended up being a tragedy unto themselves in multiple ways. That being said, Spada has written the most fascinating, moving, funny, painful, insightful portrait of the culture of Hollywood as seen in relation to the orbit of actor Lawford. Anyone who wants to understand any of the aforementioned individuals needs to read this book to fill in the blanks. Enjoy!

Not all Stars have good lives!
Nice to see other side of Stardom.Nice guy,if you like that type.Always liked Peter but didn't know too much about him.His life, married to a Kennedy is very different than expected.Being married to a sister of one of our Presidents and putting up with Peters side activities, because of her Fathers way of life is really sad.Al in all I enjoyed reading this book.

Good bio
Sad and mesmerizing at the same time. Lawford's undeniable talent and early promise make his downward spiral all the more regrettable. Was he another victim of Dallas?

An Excellent Read
If there was ever a book that should be back in print, it is this one. I could not put it down! James Spada has captured the essence of the tragic lows and the incredible highs of this often maligned performer/personality. Peter Lawford was indeed an interesting and tragic figure.
