"Peter and the Sword of Mercy," by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson is the fourth installment in the amazing series starring Peter Pan. But don't be fooled---this is no ordinary bedtime story about a magical flying boy, it is an action packed novel full of adventure and mystery! Do yourself a favor and pick up the first book in this series and read it! This fourth book is a great conclusion to a series created with imagination and passion by authors Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson!

Number 4 in what should have been a 3 book series.

I Loved the previous three books so much that I bought this one with no questions asked and started ravenously reading.

I was very disappointed by this book.
I wasn't impressed by the chemistry between Peter and Wendy, though I liked Tink a little more.
I still recommend reading it, but don't set your hopes too high.

    One problem...

My one complaint- how hard is it to kill of Umbra? He was supposed to die at the end of book 2. His entire species had been wiped out in book 3. But he still keeps coming back from the dead??

    MOVE ON TO SOMETHING ELSE!!!!

You could have Peter fighting evil mermaids or the Scorpion King, he could fight alongside Cap. Hook while trapped in the Bermuda Triangle; but please- don't bring back the shadow man!!!

They should have stopped at #3

Very dark, much creepier. Did not find the characters nearly as true to the original. Decidedly disappointing. :-(

    :/

Let me start out on a positive note: this was a well-written book with a good storyline. But, one cannot help but be disappointed when thinking of the three that came previous. While Peter and the Starcatchers, Shadow Thieves, and Secret of Rundoon left open the way to the original Peter Pan, this one ruined any "prequel" story to Peter Pan. I enjoyed it, I truly did, but it's just nothing at all when compared to the others.
