Keep the fan handy!
If you ever wanted to be time-traveled back to Ancient Egypt, and the days of the Pharaohs, you'll think your dream has come true once you begin to read this wonderful, lavishly-described book by Sandra Heath. One little bit of warning, however. This is indeed the same Sandra Heath that we've come to know and love as the author of really authentic, sweet Regency novels. But let me tell you, this is not a 'sweet' book in that sense. No, to the contrary, this one is HOT. Really HOT!!! You might wish for a pair of asbestos-lined gloves, in fact. ============= Neferet is a temple dancer, trained since early childhood to honor the god Amon-Re. Her father Jua is a priest in Amon-Re's temple, and he has betrothed his only daughter to Sahure, who might have been the heir apparent at that time. However, the rule is 'he who buries Pharaoh becomes Pharaoh'. Sahure (who is a bit strange when all is said and done) was away, and his cousin Nikare beat him to the punch by arriving first and thus having the honor of burying the previous Pharaoh Horem. Nikare is married to Sahure's twin sister Meritamon, and together they have a son, Ephara, who is expected to be the next ruler. ============== Of course, even in Ancient Egypt, things do not always proceed as expected, and with Sahure lurking and wanting everything in reach, turbulence touches Neferet and Jua, as well as Nikare. Naturally, there is war, and treason and poison cobras and LOTS of sex. Inventive, fabulous SEX!!!!! But yet, all through it, is a love story of such intensity that you'll not soon forget it. And in the end? Well, I think you should read it for yourself and savor the myriad pleasures. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
