I was disappointed considering I usually love what she writes. This however felt like she was trying to put too many angles and elements to it that you couldn't escape from reality. I kept finding myself just not believing her character. Which is a mood killer, it's like a kid slamming into the house when your trying to get some alone time with your honey. I wouldn't put it down as, as bad as what I've had to endure lately. I just wouldn't put it up there with the top twenty M/M books.

didn't make my list
it's really well written and it explores the lives of the protagonists very well. And I really like how Maxfield took the standard reasons for the protagonist to leave home and showed his somewhat skewed version of reality. I just wasn't feeling the connection between Dylan and William that drove them to be star-crossed lovers. I would have liked to see more of Dylan with Mosko, I guess. Was this review helpful?
