Fish Bowl is immeasurably better than the "Gallery" app that comes pre-installed on the Nook Color. It loads quicker, it runs smoother, it lets you DO some things with your pictures (like sorting and cropping and such -- as opposed to just letting you LOOK at them), and best of all, it actually understands the concept of *FOLDERS*.

~ Seriously, whose stupid idea was it to have the Nook's "Gallery" app load every single picture (and video!) you have, as if they're all in one folder together? ~

Fish Bowl is worth every penny, and more. If you like having lots of pictures on your Nook, you NEED this app.

Organize your media

The main benefit is sorting your pictures and videos in folders for easy retrieval. The thumbnail display in the folder view is pleasing to the eye.

The app is not as intuitive as they describe. The features and benefits are not as impressive as they would have you be...

The app is not as intuitive as they describe. The features and benefits are not as impressive as they would have you believe. However the layout and design is a thing of beauty.

With some added functionality this app would really rock. At minimum, please add the ability to name files. Especially videos.

    Excellent application, but one suggestion

Fish Bowl is a HUGE improvement in managing photos on a Nook. I just have one suggestion. I use photo file names to help identify the specific content of the photo. For example, in a restaurant review, the file name would describe the dish being shown. While you can drill down to get the photo's file name and description, it would be a big help to have the option to display file names or descriptions along with the photo itself.

    Slideshows

Best app for slideshows. If you like multipicture slideshows this is the one to get. Simple to use and fantastic directions.

    Great sldeshow app

Beats the slideshow of the Nook. I am a photographer who will definitely use this program to show photos to friends and to clients. Like the ability to delete photos. Have not ttied any other options. Someties the photos are shown in reverse sequence.

    Impressive!

I am very impressed that the app recognized my folders. I did not need to create any new ones. It is quite easy to use. I do wish that I could create one main album in which to place a few small ones. The albums are in alphabetical order so my music files are interspersed with my photo files. It would be nice if I could separate them.

I agree about the file name option, it would get 5 stars if show

I agree about the file name option, it would get 5 stars if showing the file name could be clicked on and off. The folders are great but sometimes photos are very similar and showing the name and even the date would be really helpful

    Worth Every Penny

I do not have a lot of images on my tablet yet, but they are important to me and the default gallery app is ... frustrating. With this I was up in seconds and was able to easily display my wedding pictures (and only my wedding pictures) in a nice browse and slide show. The auto-generated composite view makes a nice intro to/background for the galleries.

Some editing features would be nice, but I can live without them for now.

It beats the earwax outof the default app... well done!

    Very Nice

Very nice, but it would be much better if it handled galleries of galleries, i.e., multiple directory (folder) levels.
