REVIEW & COMMENTS ON Photographing Architecture and Interiors
As far as coffee table books go this is an excellent demonstration. This compilation of architectural photography of Julius Shulman allows the viewer a wonderful taste of modern structures. The book contains various homes by Mies Van der Rohe (1886-1969) and the like, with specific focus on homes by Richard Neutra (1892-1970). Beautiful black & white photography with a smattering of colour work, illustrating to the reader a fine, but not in-depth, view of modern homes and interiors. The oversized book allows the viewer/reader to delve into the photography which is large and very well printed. Clear and beautiful photographs along with moderate commentary allows the viewer/reader easy access into a world seldom seen and often misunderstood. Most of the homes contained within are still standing, either functioning as actual residences or as examples of the architects and designers work. This is a wonderful example for any enthusiasts of design and architecture And is well worth the price. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
