Great Book for the Not-So-Serious Photographer

This is a very good book, but ONLY for those folks who use point-and-shoot cameras. This book is NOT for SLR users! Years ago I bought an expensive SLR and even took some camera classes. Now that trusty old SLR is too big and heavy for most of the photos I take. The answer? A good, mid-range point-and-shoot camera for $100 to $200. This book is devoted to the point-and-shoot camera user. Just what a lot of people who really can take good pictures want. This book is not overlly technical, nor is it really written for 'dummies.' It has a good balance between what you need to know and what really only concerns the advanced amateur or pro. As an extra bonus there are about 30 pages of high quality photos printed on slick paper in the center to the book--all taken with point-and-shoots. Really the only camera book that most humans will ever need.

A point and shoot camera book

I bought this book hoping it would help me with my new SLR camera. However, the book was mainly written for point and shoot cameras to my surprise. But it did help a little in some areas

    Dummies book works again!

As always the Dummies series of books has helped me. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to be a better photographer. (I am just a picture taker) =o)
