Great for all skill levels
I had just began using Photoshop 7 and purchased this book when i realized I couldnt figure out all these great features on my own. With so many buttons and menus, what amateur wouldn't be a bit intimidated. I love the Photoshop 7 Bible. It took me step by step and explained every detail in depth so that I actually understood what I was doing. This book is also a great reference. I would highly recommend this book to any beginnner or expert. I only wish he would create more books covering other topics. Thanks Deke!

I just wish Deke will write 'Bibles' for other programs
This is by far the best book on Photoshop I ever read. Not only it is comprehensive (almost compulsive) in describing all commands but, even more important, Deke explains when to use these commands. In fact, I learned more on how to use filters, image adjustments and special effects for other Adobe programs (namely Premiere and After Effects) from this book than from other specific Bibles. And, on the top of this, Deke's humor and wit make the book even fun to read.

A must have for anone interested in photoshop!
As an instructor, web designer, fledgling digital artist I read almost every new book I can find on Photoshop but this one my friends makes them ALL look pale. Written in an absorbing, entertaining way (sick humor & all) this book takes you from opening the program to the bowels of hardcore color blending. I have been running photoshop since version 4 and this book constantly had me saying 'wow, I didnt know it did that!' This book should be used as a textbook by any teacher who wants their students to learn the ins and outs of p'shop the right way and in full depth. For those of you who think you know it, think again & read this book and for those of you who have always wanted to learn this program here is your chance. Honestly, I cant give this book enough praise, it informed, entertained & inspired me into new depths of work I never knew I was capable of.

This is the Photoshop book you've been searching for!!!!
Photoshop 7 (professional edition) Bible....is by far the best photoshop book on the market! (I know, ...I've purchased nearly all of the other Photoshop books on the market) Deke McClelland's writting style is VERY easy to understand (and funny!). Even if your a grouchy, nasty person who's underwear is too tight ....I promise,... 'Even you' will smile when you read this book. This Gorgeous book filled with excellent step-by-step, full color tutorials and expanations....And, you don't have to be a professional to understand this book. If you know your simple basics, this book will take you to the 'next level ' . And if you are a professionals...you will find fantastic tips and tid-bits of information through out the book!
