Well I loved ths book. At some point it made me think... what would I have done if I had a sister like Eve??... she was just so evil. At the end I tried to feel bad for her since she was dying of cancer. But I just couldn't. Over all this book was great and it really makes you think alot about your family.

I thought the premise of this book was fascinating, and it has its moments, but overall it was disappointing. I tried to get into it but it was very difficult for me. None of the characters were particularly likable, and a lot of the dialogue was cheesy and unrealistic (Like when 17 year old Kerry says, 'I'm sorry, Eve. I was a selfish jerk.') Justin was inexplicably portrayed as some sort of prize. I never did understand WHY the girls were so in love with him. The author relies too heavily on just telling us things (Kerry, Eve, and Justin have a deep bond. Justin is amazing. etc, etc,) rather than letting us figure it out on our own through the characters' behavior and actions. Kerry and Eve's relationship also left a lot to be desired. I never got the impression that they had that 'twin bond' despite the author telling us several times that they did. By the time all the twists start occuring, the story had become messy and overly complicated, as well as so unrealistic I felt like I was reading the transcript of a cheap soap opera. The whole time I was reading the book, I felt like I was reading a summary or paraphrased version of it instead of really being involved in it. It felt like whole pieces of the story were missing, and I kept going back to see if I'd missed something. I decided to give it a second chance and am currently re-reading it, but my opinion hasn't really improved.

    Reviewers

When reviewing a book for others, one should refrain from telling the whole story and ruining the it for them. Now that basically the whole plot is out there for everyone to read from the reviews there is no reason for them to read the book, so good job!
