The story was enjoyable and the writing was engaging. Tracy is someone you can not only identify with, but root for. While there were a few places the story could have fallen into clichés, the author managed to avoid these traps by taking those clichés and putting a new twist on them. This made for a less predictable and thus ultimately more interesting read. Readers familiar with the Italian language and Rome itself will notice that there seem to be a couple of mistakes here and there regarding these two, which can be a little annoying. Overall though, that didn't detract from the book's pleasantness, and I had trouble putting it down! I recommend it, worth the read.

So refreshing to see a Latina protagonist portrayed in a really smart and educated manner. Bravo to first time novelist Parra... this is a fabulous debut.

This is a really great read. Tracy's character is very relatable, as are her troubles about her identity. We can all understand the thrill of getting away from it all and wanting to be someone a bit different, and this book is a great way of doing so from your armchair. The book urges you to read on, and I found myself thinking about it even a couple of days after I put it down. Something you should really check out over the Summer.

Great Read! Captivating until the very end. We can all relate to certain "pieces" of Tracy and want her to succeed. It's the story of a woman who has lost her way a little bit and how she rediscovers herself and what she wants out of life by going on a strange adventure to Rome to secure a piece of stolen art. Revenge, redemption and romance get tangled up in this light read perfect for a summer day spent on a beach towel.

    Loved this book

Loved this book, the romance and the heartbreak, and most of all, Rome! Mario made it come to life. I'm certainly no expert, but I did not catch the small errors one review mentioned, and I checked out a lot of what was said about Rome looking for it. Great get away book.
