    Completely wacky and totally enchanting

DeFoe mixes just the right amount of modern day mischief with completely implausible piratical adventures to make his book amusing and instantly full of inside jokes. Also, much beloved by my English class, are the 'are they real or fake' footnotes, which often provide a laugh and fun facts. Without getting long winded or going overboard with his style, Defoe delivers a book that any class can easily read and enjoy.

    Douglas Adams Meets Pirates

Engaging and funny book. A cross between Pirates of the Caribbean, Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy and Gilbert and Sullivan.
