    Eastern Oregon Gardener

I purchased this book for my birthday - to help build my understanding of the high desert gardening challenges and opportunities that are still new to me. The authors have brought together sophisticated results that emerge after several years of plant growth. This is my interest right now: How to look long term at a purchase rather than finding a 'neat plant' at the nursery and figuring out how to use it. This book is definitely a worthwhile investment that is helping me mature as a gardener.

    FOR SERIOUS GARDENERS ONLY.

I have followed this author since she first received fame for her "HELL STRIPS." Those awful plots of land between the sidewalk and road. She and her husband are true "PLANT MANAGERS." Serious photography showing stages and seasons of landscape plantings. This book is not for the casual gardener. It is written like a college textbook. Information overload!

Nice book. Digital content isn't ready, pictures are black and white.

I bought this e-book (quite expensive) and immediately reported the black and white picture issue to B&N. 2 weeks on they couldn't get color pictures resolved so I returned it. What good is a garden book without colored pictures? The previews showed color so something got lost in translation.
