Planting a Rainbow
I bought this book for a one year old. It is a sweet and colorful book. I thought it might be entertaining for the parent to read (over and over) and colorful enough to engage a child's interest. The parents of this particular child are very interested in keeping things associated with the child as organic as possible. I believe their parental approach is supported by the story in this book and would appeal to the parents, as well as the child. I believe that anything to encourage intellectual interaction with a child, no matter the age, is a good thing.

Very cute for young gardeners!
I love to garden and my children love to get their hands dirty, too! This book shows children how seeds and the roots of plants sprout into beautiful, colorful flowers! It's simple enough to show my preschooler what happens when planting a garden and goes though the colors of the rainbow. As far as learning how to plant and tend a garden, we'll do that together outside:)Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Great book for gardeners to share with their children
I bought this book for my granddaughter whose father is an avid gardener. I knew of this book from working in an elementary school & loved the colors. He was thrilled with how it went through the planting process in such simple, but realistic manner. There are labels on all the flowers. A young child would enjoy looking at the pictures & the beautiful colors. An older child would enjoy this book as they begin to explore in a garden with an adult. Was this review helpful?
