Over-all, a great field guide!
I have the 1st edition of this book, 1994. I has served me well for studying and referencing at home as well as in the field.
It's about 5"x8"x1", has a very durable soft-side waterproof cover with round corners, and waterproof pages throughout. It still looks pretty new despite regular use for about 10 years.
The photos are clear, the descriptions explicit, very detailed, rarely ambiguous.
There are interesting historical facts about plant uses by indigenous and emigrant peoples and general folklore about the plants sprinkled here and there as well, making it a less dry read than some reference books.1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.
