For the Single & Fabulous
Admit it. We all want to be a little more fabulous. After countless nights eating stright out of the carton, over the sink, or straight out of the pan, I picked this book up on a whim. This book encouraged me to treat dining solo with equal (if not more) importance than that of entertaining. Who says the host(ess) must always put their guests needs before their own? It's a license to indulge and treat yourself as your most important guest. The witty segues paint the vivid tales and horrors of being the hostess with the mostest, and triggers laughter because in one way or another, we've all been there.
The reader is encouraged not only to buy quality ingredients, but to learn about them. The author works with a sommelier to provide the perfect wine pairings for the recipes. It gives me the power to cross the threshold of my house and settle down at a classy table for one.2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.
