    Absolutely Indispensable

I have been the envy of many colleagues after pulling out my little Pocket Reference book and finding the answer to our question. It was eventually stolen and that is why I have been so desperate to find a replacement. Thanks bn.com!

    Tech Writer's Dream Reference

As a professional technical writer, I am constantly in need of correct, accurate and timely facts to incorporate into my work. This guide is absolutely the best reference in my library. It is faster than the internet, quotable, certifiable, and best of all up to date. Whether it is cubits to inches, the specific gravity of aluminum or any of other hundreds of facts, this guide has it all. The ironic part is that I bought it at a lumberyard thinking it would be nice to have in the shop (which it is). My only trouble now is keeping one around. They seem to have a habit of growing legs and walking off! Deserves seven stars (Like the best Metaxa!) Dave Carriker

    more from this reviewer

Once you own a copy of this, you simply won't know how you lived

Once you own a copy of this, you simply won't know how you lived without it. I keep one in my desk, one in my toolbox, and another in the workshop. Threads? Torques? Lubricating Values? Flow? Conversions? It's all in there. Need to find how much cable on a spool? It's in there - and easy to find. I am going to replace my oldest copy (2nd edition) today. This will be my first 4th edition.

shipping/delivery service is now terrible, I'm ready to switch

Thanks for the opportunity. It took much too long for these to arrive. Your shipping service has been unsatisfactory for the past three orders that I have placed. This other than UPS service is not easy to trace for the end user or your own personnel. You are fighting a losing battle if you're trying to save a buck using this service. All you are doing is losing your loyal customers.

    Sincerely,

    Patricia A. Born

For those who think they know it all; proof.

I stumbled upon this book at the hardware store and have tabbed specific tables for instant find as with all my tech refs. especially the First Aid. I am often trying to find the impossible piece of information necessary to prove a theorem or analyze an assembly for someone in authority, and this is now my first source. I am buying a copy for all my nieces and nephews graduating this spring from the second grade to high school to encourage curiosity and learning. If I had this as a high school freshman, I might have been interested in chemistry or physics prior to college.
