    A Beautiful Book

Even if you don't have kids, the illustrations in this book really enhance the enjoyment of Poe's work. My only complaint is that there are not as many illustrations as I would like. The footnotes can be useful to both child and adult, and they are not intrusive to the flow of the work. This can be a very effective book in introducing children to Poe, as it is fairly straightforward in it's explanatory information, and the illustrations serve to reinforce the ideas and draw one into the work.

This series is quite enjoyable, and includes such authors as Lewis Carroll and Wm Shakespeare. These editions are actually even better, in my opinion.

    A good introduction

I've loved Poe for a long time, but when I picked this book up I started loving it all over again. And the pictures are so good! It deserved a Caldecott Award.

    Poetry for the soul

It was a very interesting book full of poetry that everyone can enjoy. Edgar Allen Poe is a favorite poet among all readers, and this book will soon become a children's class-must read.
