Like I'm going to trust an app to tell me in a few sentences why something is true or false...or better yet whether it IS true or false.

May be a neat little app but PLEASE don't let it keep you from LEARNING the whys wheres and whens of important issues on your own, unless of course you also think it's ok to pass laws without reading those laws before there passed !!!!!Show Less

This app is fair. It calls out folks on the left and the right. unfortunatly some people don't like that and so they try to discredit it by throwing arround labels like liberal or marxist simply because it shows the truth and the truth can be ulgy sometimes.

Good app
Only 4 stars because app seems to be updated weekly instead of daily. Also, dont be misled: this is not a left-leaning app. It investigates all claims made by politicians regardless of party. They do their homework and say why a statement is true, mostly true, false, etc. Really great app for people who like the facts checked.

Great addition to your resources
I've used PolitiFact's web site as one of the many sources of information needed today to understand and judge politicians.
This app makes it easy and comfortable on the Nook and keeps it handy. I think PolitiFact works very hard to be fair and unbiased.
Unfortunately for Republicans and far right-wing people who prefer their politics to be faith rather than fact-based, it's not useful to stray this far from their usual sources.
Today, facts and even truth itself seem to carry an increasingly stronger liberal bias. I'm an Independent and a Centrist, but by both Democratic and Republican standards, that makes me liberal. Everyone has moved many steps to the right. And the media noise and pursuasion machines make it difficult to find the center and see where facts can be found.
Fortunately, PolitiFact is a beacon that helps you thread your way through today's propaganda minefields. And it's only two bucks!12 out of 14 people found this review helpful.

Informative
I absolutely love this app and will love it even more with the upcoming election season. Even if the publisher has some political leanings, fingers are pointed at both parties by this service, so who cares?

Excellent App
Seems balanced and factual. Do not be fooled by conservative reviewers whose only idea of truth is agreeing with their delusions. Labels like socialist should not take the place of thought especially when your definition of socialist is anyone who disagrees with you!

The negative reviewers didn't bother to really do their homework.
#1. This is NOT a liberal organization, they are just as hard on the left as they are on the right. They are far more generous to liars than I would be. They hold Obama as the most checked and also have the Obamameter to hold him accountable for all of his campaign pledges.

The Election is only a year away!
Nice app to keep track of all the BS floating around out there. Couple of things bother me, though: 1) I can't find any help files 2) there are no settings where you can choose which canidates you want to follow and 3) when a statement is contrary or false, it doesn't really tell how it is false and comments are rather vague. Of course, if you really want to know, I guess you can always go to link to the original sourse to find out.

Solid app
This app is really well-designed. It is easy to navigate, very informative, and entertaining. The ratings and articles are well-researched and politically fair. They treat the claims made on both/all sides without prejudice. My one suggestion for the devs is that they add an option to post the pols' quotes (linking to the full articles) on Facebook. That would earn five stars.

Facts are important, learn them here. You want proof this app is worth your time? Read below: the thoughtful well written comments give the app high ratings. The lower ratings come rife with misspellings, neanderthalic grunting and a complete misunderstanding of Marxism. If you enjoy the political spectacle and you aren't a knuckle-dragging halfwit, this app is for you.
I only gave it 4 stars because they occasionally make the mistake of "fact checking" opinions. While you may disagree, opinions can not be fact checked. When people claim that abortion is unconstitutional, that is an opinion. There are valid legal arguments to be made on both sides and there is no settled "truth." When those same people say that Obama was born in Kenya, that is easily disproven. Fact checking should be reserved for the latter case.3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.
