Pretty When They Collide is jam-packed with intense action and powerful emotion. Rhiannon Frater has perfected the art of writing exceptional characters and allowing their stories to unfold naturally. I have not yet had the pleasure of reading the rest of this series, but I will be very soon. I do know that Cassandra and Aimee make an appearance in Pretty When She Kills, but I didn't feel as if I was missing anything while reading this book.

Cassandra is a very captivating main character. In fact, she is everything you want in a heroine - clever, tough as nails, and beautiful. I was able to relate to her rough and tough exterior, while trying to hide her softer side. Aimee is a remarkable character as well. You don't want to mess with Aimee -- no matter what kind of creature you happen to be. Unfortunately she is mixed up with one dark & twisted vampire that has her bound to him by blood. Frank (Francois) is a truly vile individual, even beyond your typical vampire villain. I could feel my face twisting up in disgust while reading the scenes with Aimee and Frank. Aimee wants desperately to be free of Frank, but it proves to be impossible to break the bond on her own.

Cassandra and Aimee are a dynamic duo; a truly explosive combination. I was flipping the pages at light speed, my heart was pounding so hard in my chest, and I bit every single nail off both hands! I highly recommend this book to anyone that enjoys adult horror and the paranormal.
