Average Wendy Applegate, hides her true identity, her true beauty behind a mask of makeup and deceit. When called home to deal with a family emergency those secrets become harder to hold on to. The family dynamics that Ashley addresses in this piece are familiar and relevant in a day and age where the media is all about beauty. Even though it is a romance novel, it deals with the need we all have to be accepted and appreciated for who we are. It is a great read and lots of fun!Was this review helpful?
