Awesome book!
Prince of Thieves is an amazing book that is a fast read and keeps your attention the whole time. The Plot line is original and inventive( a pro bank robber who falls for a hostige taken during one of his jobs) without being too far fetched as we follow the characters through struggles and conflicts both from the outside world and within themselves. This book is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to read!

Can't wait for the movie!
With shorter chapters and good characters, this book is a fast read. It is engaging; I couldn't wait to see what happens next. Having lived outside Boston for a few years, I recognized some of the areas described. I look forward to seeing the movie.

A random purchase becomes an instant favorite!
This is one of those titles I picked off the shelf during a rainy afternoon trip to my local Barnes & Noble. After reading the blurb on the back cover, I shrugged and threw it into my basket, thinking "why not?"... besides, being a life-long resident of the South Shore, I'm always interested in a Boston-based thriller. After the first few chapters, I picked up my phone to turn the ringer off, put a pot of coffee on, sat back and read cover to cover. The outside world simply ceased to exist, and I was more than willing to relinquish it for the duration.

This is one of those stories that demands a commitment from the reader: Buckle your seatbelt, adjust your mirrors, and hang on: Mr. Hogan is at the wheel, and he's not letting you out 'til he's done with you! -

Extremely Detailed and Realistic
Usually for me, novels having more than 350 pages tend to be longwinded, boring, and too detailed. This usually leads to me canning the book thus losing interest due to the length. In a busy society with readers having 9 to 5 jobs, demanding bosses, spouses, and needy children, extremely long novels are almost impossible to get through. This novel, by Chunk Hogan¿though long¿was quite different from the normal long and drawn-out story. The book was rich with vivid detail in its characters, scenes, and action¿which greatly enhanced the novel. As a police sergeant and former police detective, who has worked criminal cases, I can attest to the authenticity of Hogan¿s on-point research on that subject. Outside of that, the story itself¿obsession with money, love, brotherhood, and township¿was a real gem! This is one of few books kept in my personal library. If you crave a fast-paced love story, with a gritty feel to it, get this book!
