Being a Princess comes with responsibility and obligations not all wish to fulfill. Her Royal Highness Princess Emma of Rosewald is pivotal to ensuring the future of her family sovereignty and is being forced into a marriage she does not want. All Emma sees are the bars and constraints her life has turned into and freedom if only for a week is on the other side of that door. Running away should have been easy but nothing is ever as uncomplicated as the plan devised in your dreams.

Emma finds herself at the mercy of Dominic Gregory, Earl of Lyndhurst a kind and considerate man who takes her in not knowing her importance to anyone but himself. Nick creates an atmosphere of fun and lighthearted adventures that Emma never thought possible and cannot wait for the next day to see what it will bring. Emma may always be looking over her shoulder for someone who might recognize her, but staring into Nick's eyes is so much more enjoyable. Nick wants to protect Emma but the more time she shares his home the more he realizes he wants to protect her but love her as well.

Yet obligation overrides desire; duty calls and love cannot answer; and ducal responsibility never takes a holiday. Emma knows all these things and understands that she did have this time with Nick but it must end. The reality of what her life must be is over riding any other emotion and try as she might the door on destiny is about to close forever. Nick is not going to love her and then let her go; he is going to fight for their long-term future. Even after Nick discovers Emma's secrets, he quickly recovers from the shock to pursue her with an even more determined manner knowing what obstacles he must hurdle, every one of them worth even a moment of her time with a tender kiss.

With Emma's friends scheming and Nick never losing his hope that they can be together, actions are set into motion to let Emma and Nick be joined forever. How can love not prevail, who can help them be together, what miracle will occur to create a situation where a life forever is possible. Prayers are answered and dreams fulfilled in the most unusual of manner one never expect.

Tracy Anne Warren has written a completely delightful and magically romantic reading experience, which unfolds, on every page. Each character has a clearly defined place in the story and you never have to wonder where the story is going because Ms. Warren writes so well you feel like you are in the room with experiencing it as love blooms around you.
