At last!
This is the revision I have waited and hhoped for! I have the original edition, and thought it was great. I learned a lot from it, but this new edition is much better! It has much more information, is much better organized, and is more open-minded than the original. It also identifies techniques by the most-used names as well as by her names for them. When you want to investigate something, look it up in the well-done index. Browse through this book to learn things about knitting that are scattered about in more other books than anybody would own. I wish I could give this book 10 stars. It deserves them.

CLASSIC MUST HAVE !!
I'm a noob in the great world of knitting so I'd never heard of this gem until my Mom mentioned it last week. Actually, 10yrs ago, you could've given me the best sewing machine & knitting tools $$ could buy...I'd be kicking myself now wishing I'd kept or put it all to use! I've always preferred handmade over the rest & loved designing my own things-just not making! I have an 8y/o Daughter who inherited (x2) our big imaginations & love of crafts. We're both fresh beginners w/knitting though & can't wait to own this wonderful book. It was total chance that I found it had been revised, as I stumbled upon it's AD while looking at a home decor blog.

The Principles of Knitting
I know that this is like the Bible of Knitting. Have been waiting the longest time for the reprint/updated book to come out and it has not.

I was told over a year and a half ago that it would be in the stores.
Maybe if everyone stayed on top of Simon and Schuster it might happen.
I am not interested in the other authors, I have numerous books on knitting but none are like the The Principles of Knitting.... June Hemmons Hiatt -

A reviewer
I purchased this book in 1989 and it is a great book along with Elizabeth Zimmerman. This book gives great explanations. I use this book all of the time along with EZ. I heard that they are going to reprint this. Everyone should have a copy, if at all possible.
