James Rachels has written an excellent book for persons beginning a study of philosophy and the problems it addresses. Rachels' clear and concise style is helpful and is thus a great way to begin studying philosophy. The course of the book covers some of the major discussions in philosophy, though it is by no means comprehensive. Nevertheless, the book is great, and I would recommend it to any beginner interested in getting a handle on philosophy. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
