I fell in love with this book instantly. Philomena is such a hoot. I was laughing so hard with some of her antics. She is real, with real-life issues like younger sister syndrome and anyone with a sister older or younger can relate to that. Her love for Rio and dislike for Barry, Rio's friend and her ex made those awkward situation hilarious.

I just discovered Kate Perry as an author and within a week, have ordered and read all of her contemporary romance books. The story of Phil and Rio hooked me from early in the book and I could not put it down. The story line was realistic, the characters interesting, and there actual conversations in addition to the love scenes. In fact, I want a second book for the continuation of their story . . . hint, hint.

Kate Perry is a wonderful author. I have been reading romance novels for 25+ years, and it is always exciting to find a new writer that creates such capivating stories. My belief is that Kate ranks up there with some of the more publicized authors such as Janet Evanovich, Nora Roberts, and Lori Foster.

Entertaining read, and I love Rio's character, but Philomena is off-her-rocker in a not-so-believable way. Her ping-ponging from not liking Barry to wanting him back immediately is nonsensical, and her actions are beyond nuts (in a not-so-endearing way). Still, an entertaining read.

PROJECT DATE - the second book of Perry's Family and Love series

PROJECT DATE - the second book of Perry's Family and Love series turns out to be a very good book.  At the beginning I was having trouble with Mena's childhood baggage she's carried over into adulthood - but she finally sees the light and makes some life changes as she's about to lose the love of her life.  With the dynamics this author has - she could have gone off into many different directions; however she stayed focused on 2 people who was going together originally, then broke up and each found their "soul mates."  The story ends up with 5 stars from me.  Happy reading to all.
