I love the in death series and all of the quirky side characters

I love the in death series and all of the quirky side characters. My problem with some of these books is how Eve's character is handled. I think she is supposed to come across as antisocial, but instead comes across as selfish and rude. I cringe when she dismisses all of these people who care about her (though I don't know why they do) because whatever case she has going is more important. It was super bad in this book. I found myself wondering if it's ok to like all of the characters and the story line, but hate the main character. I also hate that she never calls anyone unless she wants something and treats Peabody like a slave and Roark as a partner. I keep hoping the writing for Eve's character will get better and she will start being the strong confident woman she is supposed to be, and less selfish and rude.

    Another Great Book!

Who wouldn't feel bad for such a great character as Morris. As always Robb "Roberts" writes a wonderful story with great twists and turns and character that make you keep coming back for more.

Promises in Death a typical entry in the series.

I enjoyed this entry in the "In Death" series, but found it a bit predictable. Characters are well developed, but they haven't really grown in the past couple of books. Too formulaic. Robb can do better, and should.

    I Also Recommend:

    Just like the last one!

J.D. Robb's formula is very predictable, while it is amazing in having an exciting new plot each time a new book is published.

    Promises in Death

Typical "in Death" series novel..was a little disappointed as everyone in the book was always in a rush...not enough Roarke.
