Best fun I ever had while learning
Contrary to other reviews, the author is not an atheist. Had they bothered to read the notes on the author, he is an ordained minister. The book takes a humorous look at the "inside jokes" in the bible, and the frailties of the cast of characters therein. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. If you are not threatened by the idea that not every person mentioned in the bible is perfect. This may be the book for you.
For me, it made the bible a little more real, a little less hard to try to emulate, and a lot more human. (Not to be confused with humanism.)
Take a look, you might find that God is not the boogieman, and might be a being with a sense of humor too.

Like most Douglas Adams books it is hilarious, it had me rolling on the ground by the first five pages. The only time I stopped in this book was to catch my breathe. Truly a funny insight on the Bible and christian beliefs, the only problem is that Douglas Adams touches up on blasphemy just to get the reader to laugh. But it's fine by me. Overall good book and well-worth the read. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
