This book is great to read with your partner cuddled up next to you and each of you taking turns reading chapters aloud and then writing your own chapter..... This book really pulls you in, it makes you feel like you are apart of the book and what's going on in each scene. You can really visualize what's going on, the chapters are loaded with lots and lots of great detail..... This is one you will not want to put down. When I first purchased it I read chapter after chapter after chapter...

The color purple is still smajestic in ANY setting!

There are all types of scenarios that depict sexual preference nowadays as the freedom of expression has extended to the bedroom, and everywhere else to display such liberations between women of the same sex. The release of yet another anthology of lesbian love does nothing to hide the fact that stories of this nature are being produced to satisfy both a growing genre and a lifestyle that is prevalent in our society. Best-selling author literary guru, ZANE has a new compilation worthy of her reputation ¿ Purple Panties. There¿s no other color that readily whets my appetite than the color purple. Coupled with the catchy cover photography, bypassing this book will be hard to do! For the most part, the stories are provocative and tend to leave no holds barred, which has always been the mantra that the editor has exhibited in her own writings, but with this set decisions on options relative for inclusion run the gamut from tepid to sizzling hot. Reading the stories I couldn¿t help feeling like a privileged spectator looking through the windows of world created especially for me! Ask me would any man find something that would change his view of uninhibited love and reckless abandon with license for liberal pleasure, and I¿m sure there would be vociferous views for more. Each story had points of contention for the individual author¿s penchant for quality and means to elicit excitement. I have my favorites ¿ namely PLEASURES by Elissa Gabrielle Allison Hobbs¿ THE PRIVATE ROOM and JACQUIE by Jolie du Pre. You will undoubtedly recognize a few authors here that are no strangers to erotica, but with typical anthologies you will find some stories better written than others. There¿s a good mix that doesn¿t take away from any perceived negative for the most part. Turn the tables, close your eyes, and do away with the stereotypical notion that usually permeate your mind about sex and who¿s administering it, and you won¿t be disappointed in how page-turning delight can REALLY excite. There¿s no room for player-hating. Interestingly enough, I didn¿t read this book verbatim¿I derived pleasure by randomly reading when I needed something to drive my senses to another level after dealing with a long day at the office. All I had to do was to envision purple panties dancing though my sensibilities to color my world! Add this book to your collection of erotica. Anything with ZANE¿S input is a winner!

short stories

I didn't care for her books, don't get me wrong she's a great writer but I don't care for short stories. I love the sexiness, and also the love but I will not buy her books if they are all short stories. If anyone can suggest a book of hers that DOES NOT have short stories send me a shout out!!!!!!

WOW ..........STILL WET!

This book proves that curiosity doesnt kill the kitty BUT gets it wet. I freakin love this book and Zane you did it again to me and got me going. Scary I think this book makes you doubt ur sexuallity cause it gets you going hetero and all. omg now im curious!

Shocking and Sizzling

Zane has done it again! She has found a group of intriguing writers and has put together a sizzling and shocking group of stories. If you are Lesbian or not, these stories will definitely have you on the edge of your seat and wondering how they think of these things. They are hot, steamy, and real and will have you whispering to your friends about them by the watercooler at work!

Warning--this one is HOT!

If you want to read some really steamy fiction/erotica then get this one. I found that this had to be one of the most erotic/sexy books I've read and am so glad I took the plunge and picked it up. A high recommend, that's for sure.

I want a real story!

I didnt realize that this was not a novel. I wanted to read a complete story not snippets of one after another brief encounter in lesbianism.

Zane has done it again!

Hot, Hot, Hot! Wish each story could have been a little longer. Just when you got into it, the story was over. I know they were meant to be short stories, but too short!

I was disappointed

Clearly I love Zane. But this book in my opinion doesnt live up to the hype. Sometimes you have to give it up and Zane, this book isn't what I've come to expect from you.

Purple...

This book is amazing. All of the stories are well written. I enjoyed this book because it gave me the opportunity to understand lesbianism. I, like many other women have fantasized about being with another woman, and this book fulfilled all my curiousities about lusting over another woman. The stories seemed so realistic. All of my close friends have seen me with this book, and now they all have their own copy. This book should be read by men and women.

Okay, I'm a guy and I probably like this book for the wrong reasons. I belong to that traditional group who rather watch porn than read porn. Is Purple Panties porn? You'll have to be the judge of that for yourself but any book that features gratuitous girl-on-girl lovemaking is enough to convince me to read it. I'm sure the stories that lead up to the lesbian trysts are interesting but if you're like me you'll skim (or skip) through them. If your a fan of Zane or Lesbian Erotica this book won't disappoint. Don't forget the lotion and tissue:)

Highly Recommend

Zane is one of my personal favorits anyways, but Purple Panties take lesbian erotica to a whole new level. Its daring, adventurous, and SEXY. This one is defintly high on my favorites list.

My first Zane book.

I've heard about this book for the longest but I never had to courage to buy it. So when i did I expected it to be 100% good. But it wasn't :-( I like some of the stories but some of them was boring. Yes boring? Especially the 1 about time and present and future and the character "Temptest". So i give this book an 4 out of 5.
