A cocaine addict, Angel knows the hard meaning of life and now scarred for her life she runs from the well known drug dealer and pimp. Shapshifter Jonah Stark stays away from town and lives on a mountain top with members of his community. When a finds an injured human female, his protective instincts arise and he brings her home and Angel begins to heal with this community of shifters, but will her past come back to haunt her before she can reach happiness.
This steady pace plot has it all, suspense, some action, love, romance, friendship, emotional turmoil, and betrayal. The author brings this story to live with vivid images and intense emotional detail that captures the reader’s imagination and has them feeling as if they are part of the story.
All the characters are strong and compelling and leave the reader wanting to know more. The story contains drug and prostitution references and takes the reader on an emotional journey of hardship and recovery to a happily ever after.
The attraction between Jonah and Angel radiates heat from every page and the well written sex scenes that involves lots of purring and a hot and steamy sauna scene that singes the reader.
While there is Angel’s bad guy that she ran away from, there is also one from the community that acts on jealously and betrays the community. The author blends everything together seamlessly with other smaller side conflicts that adds lots of depth to this entertaining tale.
The author has created an enchanting world of snow leopards, (don’t worry there are some wolves as well), that I couldn’t put down once I started reading. The only thing I was a little disappointed with was there was a couple of issues left unresolved or left open, but that in no way takes away from the main story. I very much liked that the author gave the reader closure on some of the secondary characters from Angel’s past. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this fascinating and entertaining tale and I hope the author intends to write more about this shifter community.

I loved the leading man, Johan!

When I read the blurb for this title, I was struck with curiosity. For the most part my reading of shifters has followed the course of human turns to werewolf or bear, period. Seeing that this story was one that took shape in the form of snow leopards, I was intrigued.
I love the leading man Johan. If I could take him from the pages and recreate him for my personal use, I would do it (shhh, don't tell the hubby). Angel's story is one that has a beginning and middle like others I have read. She grew up moving from one foster home to the next until deciding to take off. Not many have read in up in the arms of a beautiful man who can - oh by the way change into a snow leopard.
If you are looking for a few good "guys" to fall in love with, grab yourself a copy of this book. A great book to show that love can happen at first sight, and even those that may seem tough and unable to love, can find love when they least expect it. I do so hope to see a follow up book written. I would love to see what is going to happen with everyone as well as see what the future holds for the one and only Abby.
