A definite MUST-READ!!!

As a believer myself & a huge football fan, I was very moved & inspired by this book. I actually bought it as a gift for my husband, but once I read the first few pages, I literally could not put it down!!! It definitely stirred my heart to be extraordinary in all the ordinary things. Read it & you WILL enjoy it!!!

A Great Read

I could not put this book down. It was written in an easy manner to read. I liked the way coach Dungy wrote about the ups and downs in his life while keeping his faith in God.

What a great man

Loved this book and how he has accomplished so much. He could certainly be like most other NFL coaches and players, thinking they are above everyday people, but not Tony Dungy. He really comes across as a very typical, normal person. I would feel very comfortable sitting down with him and having a conversation.

Amazing

This is an inspiring book about an amazing man who tells about his story. This is a must read. Four stars because it was a little boring at some points but overall, it was excellent!

Outstanding Novel

In his journey to becoming one of the most significant coaching figures in all of sports today-Tony Dungy in his book Quiet Strength describes his view on how to become a winner in life. Going all the way back to his childhood days, Tony Dungy walks the reader through his life, and shares the events and lessons that have shaped him to be the son, father, and man he is today. From his days as a player to then his highly successful coaching career, it was obvious to many including the reader Tony Dungy was a man of great morals, leadership skills, and faith.
This book will challenge a person in a constructive manner. As a believer Tony Dungy incorporates his own faith and beliefs into this book, and as a strong Christian man he is able to reach both the believers and non-believers. This captivating, engaging, and magnificent novel is a perfect example of how one wins in life! The use of asking questions and sharing the lessons learned in this novel will inform any person from any walk of life how to become a stronger person in all aspects of their life.
This captivating novel that teaches principle, practice, and priority in life will bring change to how one sees the world and interacts with it. Quiet strength is exactly what any person would gain from reading this novel. This book is recommended to any teenager and older, with a system of belief or not; there is no other novels that will help mold a new person in just one story like this great story will!

I Recommend this book

I enjoyed the book Quiet Strength. What made me interested in reading it was that it was written by Tony Dungy. Dungy is an NFL football coach for the Indianapolis Colts who is a strong Christian. In his book, he tells about his life and the tough situations he has encountered. He writes about his youth, his playing days in college and the NFL, and his coaching career in the NFL. He explains how he has overcome some tough situations in his life and how his faith in God has helped him get through them. What I liked about this book was that it was extremely descriptive about the situations he was in and I felt like I was there. The descriptions helped me relate to what he was saying.
What I didn't like about the book was how he jumped around to different times in his life. It did not go in chronological order, which made it hard to follow at times.
Overall, I would recommend reading this book. I think it is helpful because it shows that if you have a strong faith in God everything will turn out alright. I believe anyone who is a Christian, an athlete, or someone who is interested in sports would enjoy this book and would learn from Dungy's experiences.

Quiet Strength is one of the most fascinating books to ever read. Quiet strength tells you about hope, love and the life of Tony Dungy. The things that he went through from being a football player and basketball player in high school and college to a famous football coach of the Colts who won the Super Bowl XLI. From being a nobody to the first African American coach to win the Super Bowl Tony Dungy has proven that he can do all things through Christ that strengthens him and with the love and support of his wife and family. Quiet Strength is the book that you would want to sit back, relax and read. Tony Dungy tells you about how his life was and still is and how he trusted and waited on God. When you get the opportunity to read this amazing, extraordinary book, please do.
