Great source of info on locomotives. Highly Recommended!
This book is clear, concise, and well-organized. It is easy reading and, at the same time, a good reference book. I read it from cover to cover, but I also use it to look up specific info (such as a diesel engine group) which is simplified by clear and definitive chapter headings. A necessity for anyone new to the wonderful world of railroading history, but also a great addition to the library of any train enthusiast. Photography is really well-done. I would love to know more about the photographers and the source and circumstances of the individual photos (being a photographer myself), but that is a bit outside the scope of this compact, but thorough review of train engine history. Was this review helpful?
