RAVEN RISE is a wonderful addition to the PENDRAGON series. It is just as exciting as the rest and keeps you wanting more. I had a hard time putting it down and there is no way that I will not be purchasing the next one so I can find out what happens next!
RAVEN RISE is about a Traveler named Bobby Pendragon. Now eighteen, his struggle to save Halla is harder than ever, and everything he's ever done has come down to this. He must save Halla from an extremely evil man, Saint Dane, who is trying to merge all of the worlds into one.
Saint Dane is not only trying to mix territories, which is something that Travelers are not supposed to do, but he is also trying to create the perfect group of people who will follow under him. What will he do with the "not perfect" people? He will take care of them.
Saint Dane plans on controlling all of Halla, and he will decide what he thinks is right for the people of the territories. He believes he is doing right by deciding people's destinies for them and not letting them make their own decisions. Pendragon, on the other hand, thinks that people should make the decisions of their lives on their own.
The battle is on in RAVEN RISE. The battle for Halla. The internal battle of Bobby Pendragon. The battle of the people of the territories. And the battle between Saint Dane and Pendragon. This is what it is all coming down to.2 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

The best in the series!
In Pendragon: Raven Rise, you will find action and adventure around every corner. Pendragon is a series of books '10 in all' and Raven Rise is the ninth one. This series of books is about a boy named Bobby Pendragon who finds out he has to save the universe from an evil demon named Saint Dane. He is not happy about this though, as it came to a surprise to him. One day his Uncle Press shows up and tells him some people need help. Turns out that is definitely an understatement. His uncle brings him to an abandoned subway station and tells him to go on the train tracks, find a door, and yell ¿Denduron.¿ This series is recommended for 12 and older. The author uses very difficult words to keep this story very interesting. He puts a lot of detail into important parts like where Bobby¿s friend Alder blows up the tak mine. The books are usually very long, but trust me, it¿s worth it. If you read the first book, then you will get into the Pendragon series really fast. Pendragon is a science fiction/ fantasy series. Bobby has to go to other worlds called ¿territories,¿ like Denduron, Zadaa, or Eelong, and he has to stop his nemesis, Saint Dane, from creating chaos on the territories. Each territory is different. Like Third Earth, for example, is the future, Second Earth is the present, and First Earth is the past. Most teens will want to read this book and series. I recommend that people ages 12 and up read this, since most kids won¿t understand some of the words. Trust me, once you start reading Pendragon, you won¿t put the book down.

MacHale does it again
In Pendragon book 9 Bobby is starting his new life on Ibara. But as Bobby starts to get comfortable on Ibara he realizes that Saint Dane is at it again, creating a new flume for him to escape in. Bobby them realizes that the trusted Tello is really Nevva Winter. Will Bobby ever redeem his spot as a Traveler or crack under pressure?

What could possibly happen next?
This "penultimate" Pendragon is every bit as action-packed as its predecessors. (Like that alliteration?) Our favorite characters found themselves in all sorts of jeopardy, and the ending left me frustrated and wondering what in Halla MacHale has planned for these people we've come to know and love. I guess if his goal was to cause the reader to go bonkers itching for the next installment, he's certainly accomplished that here.

OMG IT IS GR8!!!!!!!!
Pendragon: Raven Rise, by D.J. MacHale, is an action-packed, suspenseful, work of fiction. The only fault I had about it is that it wasn¿t longer! It is about a teenager named, Bobby Pendragon. In an average day, he saves all of humanity from destruction. Bobby was chosen by an unknown force, to become a traveler. A traveler¿s job is to save different territories from an evil-demon named Saint Dane. Bobby and the other ten travelers are losing, though. In the ninth book of Bobby¿s adventure, read all about Bobby¿s struggle against Saint Dane. Who knows, if bobby loses you may wake up one day and things could be very different.

First 150 pages
I have always enjoyed the Pendragon series and by reading the first fifty pages of the ninth installment i can already tell that it is my favorite. It is a very casual read and one of the few books I can read for entertaining purposes. I greatly enjoyed the books when I was younger but after starting to read this edition to the series I feel as if I have outgrown the books. I still enjoyed the read but not as much as I used to. On a further note I highly recomend this series to any young adult hungry for action and adventure on every page. It is an easy read and and addicting from the very first page. DJ Mchale does a fantastic job describing the plot in detail and his creativity is unmatched.

These books are for the one that like a never ending Adventure, for the ones stuck on the cover always remember that don't judge a book by it cover. These books are great, exciting, and leave you feeling like you are on the edge. The books are FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

LonerCn territory, stop!!!!
Stop giving away the endings of the books. What if someone looked at your review who hadnt read the book yet. They might be disappointed at you for ruining the end for them. :(
