I love this series and I love Lia Davis, so I knew there would be a good chance that I would love this book and I really did.  It was fun and sweet.  Do not get me wrong, it did have some naughty bits ;) , but the characters were so easy to relate too and it was so fun to watch their connection grow. Emalee being stuck between two worlds and not knowing where she truly fit in is something I think many of us can relate too on some level.  Darian has a past too many of us can either relate to or sympathize with. These two seemed to really be meant for each other.  Of course, that is what Madame Eve does best.  If you are looking for a short, hot paranormal read with vamps and more, this may be just what you are looking for.  You do not have to have read any of the previous stories to read this one.  They are, for the most part, each stand alones with only the shared world in common.

As with nearly all of the books in Decadent Publishing’s 1

As with nearly all of the books in Decadent Publishing’s 1 Night Stand series, this is a short little novella. With a lot of novellas, the plot can feel rushed and there’s often a lack of character development. That’s not the case with Ravished Before Sunrise!

You get a feel for the backstory for both Ema and Darian, as well as the world they live in without a problem. The chemistry, as well as the reason behind it, is present and steamy lending plausibility to the whole experience. They have a steamy, but comfortable and exploratory night together, that leads to a very sweet and satisfying ending. If this is a taste of what’s to come from the author, I look forward to more of her work!
