A good workbook to prepare your child for kindergarten
My sister is an public school educator and we both agree that children need to know how to read and write BEFORE they enter kindergarten if they are to truly succeed in school. That's where this workbook comes in. Not only does a child get to practice writing letters and numbers, there's cutting, pasting and coloring (for fine motor skill development). The child gets introduced to crossword puzzles, letter and number sequences, mazes, pattern identification, and a host of other skills that they'll need for kindergarten including practice tests. At the end of the book there is story writing and a certificate of completion. There are also stickers (though not enough for all of the pages) for positive reinforcement. All in all, a good value for the money.
